Parts of the Body

Informed by the early hand-painted anatomy charts for children by Indian Book Depot Publishers in Sivakasi. The artwork of these educational devices were influenced by the formalism of European Renaissance painting and the children themselves often display these characteristics. It's often disturbing and hilarious to see scenes of these pale, cherub-faced Indian children posing as diagrams. More drawings to come based on these educational charts...

Guilt Free Dinner

In order to expedite the creation of new work, I will be directly scanning and posting my sketchbook pages, hence the color shift... This new method will eliminate the need to manipulate the linework and all that jazz. Now all nuances such as pencil marks, paper blemishes, etc will be visible. I do all this in order to keep it real. So real!

Vanishing Species

Bats are dying in record numbers throughout Northeastern habitats in this country. It's a phenomenon similar to the recent collapse in honeybee populations... Is it a reaction to agricultural pesticides? A viral epidemic? The natural world reacting to modern technocracy and proclaiming, "WTF?"
